Objectives

Research Objectives

1. the development of improved indicators to measure and/or identify complex risk situations, specifically the endangerment of worldwide maritime trade by terrorism and piracy;
2. the improvement of indicators that detect risk perceptions, expectations and needs of relevant political and economic actors.
3. the examination of the policies, developed by the affected actors, to intensify protection against armed non-state actors at sea, as well as
4. the development of further-reaching courses of action, and their coordination and merging within the framework of a cross-sectoral strategy.
